The Driving Ability Test
What do I need to bring with me for the Practical Test?
– Comfortable shoes / slippers (not front or rear opened, and no high heels – it is recommended to also avoid low / medium height heels)
– ID Card
– Wear Lenses or Glasses if needed
Remember to Switch Off Mobile Phone to avoid any unnecessary distractions.
What do I do when an Emergency Vehicle is approaching?
Act like you would act when you have your license. Your examiner wouldn’t ‘take over’ and guide you. You should stop safely and make space for the emergency vehicle to pass.
When can I cross a Solid White Line?
You can never cross a solid white line, unless there is an obstruction ahead on the left side, that is stationery or moving less than 15km/h. Like a slow moving horse for example. Although this is allowed, always make sure that the conditions are safe; not in a bend, not on a brow of a hill, not when a car is approaching from opposite, not if approaching a junction, etc… Basically, always make sure that you have enough view and space ahead to do such a maneuver.
